Leonardo DiCaprio & Martin Scorsese Reteaming For ‘The Gambler’ Remake

I’m Tatiana Carrier and I’ve got the latest on the remake, The Gambler. Thanks to deadline, weve just learned that Leonardo DiCaprio is attached to star in The Gambler, a paramount remake of the 1974 drama which was centered around James TObacks life, who happened to write the original screen play. William Monahan is writing the script and Martin Scorsese may just direct! The flick is about a gambling addict, which would be played by Leo who then onvinced a student athelete to shave points off a game so he can win a bet…after experiencing the high of winning a bet where he risks it all, the gambler finds himself in a very dark place! If all goes well, this wont be the first time leo and martin tream up. Theyeve worked together on many hits in the theatre including Shutter Island, The Departed, The Aviator and The Gangs of New York. I think this movie will be great, especially with the leo/martin team up! Would you guys go see the flick? The Ides of March, directed by George Clooney just premiered at the Venice Film Festival just recently and people are speculating that this flick may have oscar nominee written all over it! The Ides of March is an inside look at a fictional presidential campaing and is jam packed with an all star cast including clooney himself, Ryan Gosling, Paul Giamatti, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, and Marissa Tomai. Now that the venice film fest is a wrap, the ides are off to Tortonto film fest where it will need to play well in order to secure ocscar nom. Colombiana releases this week, so I thought I would let my movie buffs know what the critics are saying before you head out to the theatres and see the flick yourselves! Colombiana is about A young woman (played by zoe saldana) who after witnessing her parents’ murder as a child in Bogota, grows up to be a stone-cold assassin. Heres what the critics had to say! Christy Lamiere from Associated Press said, “For the most part, it’s all big and silly, but at least it’s enjoyably staged and crafted.” Jeff BErshire from metromix said, “Colombiana” certainly can’t be commended for originality or artistry, but as a solidly entertaining piece of trashy exploitation its only drawback is a PG-13 rating” Todd Gilcrest wasn’t a fan of the directors overall execution, he said, “Luc Besson lacks the sort of commercial hunger—or maybe the creative ambition—to give a story like this the urgency or sense of spectacle that it requires.” The reviews were all over the board, but make sure you tell us what you thought by commenting below and be sure to subscribe to our channel for all the latest in movie news!

‘Transformers 4′ Will Not Be A Reboot

Despite the massive box office success of T3, there are still doubts whether or not there will be a FOURTH installment of the flick. Transformers Dark of the Moon took in over 400 million worldwide, but apparently that’s not enough JUST yet to jusify a forth movie. Some even speculate a reboot of the entire franchise…Producer Don Murphy, however, put an end to that speculation. He said “What happens next? Certainly not a reboot. We haven’t lost the Transformers. They didn’t grow up or become expensive like Tobey Maguire. I don’t know what happens next. I’m pretty sure there will be a second trilogy. I am pretty sure it will kick ass. And I am pretty sure some of you will hate it because it wasn’t all bots.” Paramount still hasn’t confirmed or announced any Transformers follow up plans, but we will be sure to keep you posted as we learn more.
