Hey there Cinophiles, thanks for checking out clevver movies, I’m Chelsea Cannell here with all the superman scoop from director Zack Snyder. The Hollywood Reporter caught up with Snyder at the premiere of Sucker Punch and managed to get some info on Superman from the man behind the camera. Talking about Sucker Punch, Snyder admitted he had to exorcise some demons inside of him otherwise he may have put zombies in Superman. He was joking of course — or was he? Either way Snyder says that Superman will be his most REAL film — even more REAL than dawn of the dead. Which both he and his wife find funny considering it’s a superhero flick but they want to make sure we know that it will be NOTHING like his previous films — even going as far as to say Superman will look like a Documentary compared to Sucker Punch. Is that a good thing? Speaking of good, we also have some news to report on the casting of Superman’s Villian. While we don’t actually know WHO the villain will be, word is “boardwalk Empire’s” Michael Shannon is the latest name to be dropped in the casting bucket. Edgar Ramirez is apparently also being considered. Reports are, casting the villain, will likely be the next thing Warner Brothers to do list. So Let us know if you what you think about these super revelations and if you are excited about Snyder’s …

Actor Andy Serkis is going to be doing much more on the hobbit set than just playing good ole Gollum — hear what else he’s up to next! hey there Hobbit lovers, I’m Chelsea Cannell here with an update on Andy Serkis stepping behind the camera. The actor who will be playing Gollum will apparently also be directing the second Unit on set. The Hollywood reporter has the news about Serki’s move behind the camera, something that isn’t foreign to him after bouts of directing including performance capture work on a couple video games. Apparently Peter Jackson, the films director of course, asked the actor to head up the second unit via email — which kinda surprised serkis. But he admits, he knows middle earth well and felt that his director really wanted someone who understood the material and the work ethic needed. The only curve-ball will be the 3D work on this flick — that is a learning curve for serkis who reveals the use of the dimension will be to help give the film a dramatic point of view. As for Gollum, he says we’ll recognize the character who he will be seen in his truest form accodrding to the actor. And its an exciting role to get back in to for Serkis, who admitted that Gollum never really left him! I don’t know about you but I’m kinda counting the days for this one — how do you feel about serkis puling double duty on the set acting and helping with the second unit? I’m Tatiana Carrier for clevver movies with the latest on ‘Spider-Man’. You know we’re your Spidey hookup, so we just had to show you Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man on the cover of Entertainment Weekly. Okay, so the flick doesn’t hit theaters for another year, but EW decided to get fans excited for next week’s Comic-Con by featuring Spidey on this week’s cover. Inside, the mag features interviews with stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, as well as director Marc Webb. Fans have waited a long time for another Spider-Man flick — it’s already been four years since we saw Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker in ‘Spider-Man 3.’ And by the time we see Andrew Garfield take the lead, Spider-Man will have been on a five-year hiatus. The Spider-Man issue of Entertainment Weekly hits newsstands July 15th. Comic-Con will invade San Diego July 21st through the 24th, and ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ swings onto the big screen in July 3, 2012. For the latest news on Spidey and more, keep it locked on …
